How You Can Help

Meals on Wheels offers numerous volunteer opportunities with flexible days and hours.  Drivers, kitchen help, and bakers are all needed. 

 Donations in baked goods, such as homemade cookies are a "good thing". 

Extra veggies from your garden will be put to good use.

That leftover Halloween candy

KITCHEN HELP - one day a week.  packaging up desserts, making sandwiches, making salads, packaging cookies and rolls.  Arrive 8:30am, prepare your part, package lunch bags, dish up hot meal.  Finish around 11am

DRIVERS - one day a week.  Arrive around 10am, pack basket or box with lunches,  pack cooler with the hot meals and deliver.  A route sheet and training will be provided.  Home by noon-12:30


EMPLOYERS - Consider Employee-Released Time Program whereby companies allow employees time off in their work day to deliver meals.  It's great PR

GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS - Bake extra dozen cookies at Christmas, crafts,

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS - Need community service hours to graduate?
